Pa.'s jazzy dream team band has 5 Philadelphians

What would you Pennsylvania-bred super-band look like? Would it include arguably one of the best rappers of all time, Black Thought? Would you throw in indie rocker Kurt Vile for a little twist?

What would you Pennsylvania-bred super-band look like? Would it include arguably one of the best rappers of all time, Black Thought? Would you throw in indie rocker Kurt Vile for a little twist? What about legendary duo Hall and Oats?

Well, Mic.com compiled a list of super-bands from every state in America and Pennsylvania's picks yielded a "chart-topping jazz fusion" band made up of Patti LaBelle, Billie Holiday and Jill Scott on vocals, Reggie Workman on bass, Joan Jett on guitar and The Roots drummer Questlove with Taylor Swift as the six-man band's "cut-throat manager."

They write:

This band, anchored by Questlove and led by Billie Holiday, is the first jazz-soul fusion group to top the charts 15 times consecutively with singles from the same album. That's because Taylor Swift, a la Col. Tom Parker, is their cutthroat manager. Joan Jett, the original rock feminist, adds an edge to Holiday, LaBelle and Scott's perfectly blended vocals.

Joan Jett is the only musician in the band who does not claim Philadelphia as their hometown. But as the birthplace of Philly soul, it makes sense that the City of Brotherly love would yield a dream team of jazz-soul perfection.

Philly's dream team music group holds an impressive number of accolades among them, with manager Swift boasting 7 Grammy awards, Questlove (along with the Roots) holds three Grammys and two NAACP Image Awards and two Grammy's from North Philly's Scott.

So, what do you think? Would you give this soulful troop a listen?
