VIDEO: Madonna and Vanilla Ice used to go on dates in disguise

Though it's pretty clear that Vanilla Ice's greatest contributions to the canon of American popular culture have been the "Ninja Rap" scene from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze and his "BACKSTABBER!" meltdown over Ron Jeremy on the second season of The Surreal Life, we've got to give the guy credit for continuously trying to remain relevant.

Earlier this year, he performed at halftime of a Houston Texans game as a part of their "White Out" theme. And, now, he's regaling Canadian television viewers with stories of that time he dated Madonna (really) and they used to go out to dinner and a movie dressed like an old lady and some dude in glasses with really long hair.

Like, we would go to movies. We had disguises. I had a mustache and a hat with hair coming down and she would go as an old lady.

And we would walk in and the bodyguards would [be] like 20 feet behind. Y'know, kinda lookin' just like we're nobody. And just walk in and go and see our movie and just have a good, normal... we'd do dinner that way and nobody would ever recognize us. It was the greatest.

No, Vanilla Ice, you're the greatest. [h/t Jezebel]
