Local woman receives vulgar receipt with order from New Jersey pizza shop

A message to area pizza shops: Please do not present your customers with sexually charged racist messages when all they want from you is some chicken wings. That strategy probably won’t work out in your favor.

A message to area pizza shops: Please do not present your customers with sexually charged racist messages when all they want from you is some chicken wings. That strategy probably won't work out in your favor.

After all, just ask New Jersey resident Loretta Smith.

Speaking to NBC10 this week, Smith claims that she ordered some wings at Danny's Pizza Pizzazz in Bridgeton, South Jersey late last month, and in turn received a vulgar receipt reading "Fried hard like a black d—-" in the "special instructions" section, and under that, simply, "d—".

"I ordered the wings fried hard," she told NBC10, meaning that she wanted some well-done wings.

Instead, Smith says she got the vulgar receipt shown above, along with a side of disgust.

"I was very offended, upset and disrespected to get those words on a receipt," she said. "It's not acceptable. Not to me."

Danny's Pizza Pizzazz, for its part, denies that the receipt came from their shop. However, NBC10 does indicate that Danny Sommeling, the shop's owner, texted Smith and said that the incident was "definitely not professional."

Smith has since taken to her Facebook page to admonish the pizza shop, saying that this kind of thing "should never happen to anyone."
