Lindsay Lohan—star of The Parent Trap remake, meltdown-haver, general famous person—has landed a new acting gig thanks to the folks at HBO. Lohan is set to play the daughter of one of the major characters in HBO's Eastbound & Down during it's final, eight-episode run.

A source tells us that Lohan plays the daughter of one of the show's main characters and was filming a wedding scene set many years in the future. And yes, she was the bride!

No other details were immediately available, but in her selfie her long red locks are curled, big-hair-style, in keeping with the down-home vibe of the show. Will Ferrell coproduces the comedy, which stars Danny McBride as a former pro baseball pitcher who returns to his hometown to teach P.E. in a blaze of no-glory-at-all.

Eastbound & Down's eight-episode final season premieres Sept. 29.

Lohan was all over Instagram earlier this week reminding everyone how #blessed she is to be back at work in the industry. From starring in Mean Girls, to tabloid fodder, to guest-star on that Danny McBride show making fun of John Rocker. She's back. Thanks for everything, Ben Affleck. [E!]
