Today, TIME magazine released its annual TIME 100 list. The magazine categorized its top 100 most influential people in the world as either Titans, Pioneers, Artists, Leaders or Icons, and among them are Philadelphia native and director Lee Daniels, comedian Kevin Hart, actor Bradley Cooper and Reading-born pop star Taylor Swift.

Entertainment mogul Oprah Winfrey composed Daniels' write-up for the list's Titan section, writing, "It seems like there is nothing Lee can't do… . He is an undeniable, singular voice, the likes of which we've rarely seen."

Daniels has directed movies like "Precious," "The Butler," and is the co-writer on the new hit show, "Empire."

Written by comedian Chris Rock, Hart's entry in the Artists category of the TIME 100 list calls him "Humor's honest broker."

Rock gives Hart huge credentials when he says, "Right now, Kev is the biggest stand-up comedian in the country." He goes on to compare the Philadelphia comedian to other comedy greats like Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Cosby and Richard Pryor.

Friend Oliver Platt wrote for the magazine about Cooper, also an Artist, saying his life priorities are "his dog Charlotte, the Philadelphia Eagles, and showing up for people he cares about."

After his "American Sniper" role, Cooper says his resulting recognition "helps spread awareness for veterans' issues."

The Icons category contained such cultural mainstays as Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, girls' education activist Malala Yousafzai, and "Shake It Off" hit-maker Swift.

"Along with her staggering list of accomplishments, perhaps the most exciting thing about Taylor is that she's just getting started with what she plans to mine from her fierce, curious, boundlessly talented and beautiful heart," writes "Law and Order: SVU" actress Mariska Hargitay.

Swift also composed an entry for the "100 Most Influential People" list for fellow Icon and "Barefoot Contessa" host Ina Garten.
