UPDATE: 1:45 p.m.
And he's back! But at least he's no longer tweeting in all-caps.
The morning after Kanye West and JImmy Kimmel's big, bad Twitter fight, Slate published a piece titled, "Kanye West is Right: JImmy Kimmel's Sketch was Ignorant and Stupid."
West, who went on a Twitter rampage Thursday evening against the late-night comedian, followed up Friday morning by carefully curating a series of quotes and comments from the aforementioned piece, starting with a link to Slate's article. This after Kimmel addressed the feud on his show.
Kanye West is an artist. He's also a father and a self-proclaimed fashion icon and all that other crap he says about himself. The guy with the major messiah complex went on BBC1 and said a bunch of stupid stuff about himself and leather jogging pants.
No one was really surprised by this.
Jimmy Kimmel decided to have a little fun with the interview footage. On Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host hired two children to reenact West's BBC1 interview and the sketch has set Kanye the hell off.
An angry Kanye took to Twitter to trash Kimmel up and down the Internet.
JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 27, 2013
I LIKE YOU, YOU KNOW ME, I WENT TO YOUR FAMILY'S WEDDING— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 27, 2013
SARAH SILVERMAN IS A THOUSAND TIMES FUNNIER THAN YOU AND THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS IT!!!— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 27, 2013
There was also a lot of name calling and impressive use of #NODISRESPECTTOBENAFFLECK and #ALLDISRESPECTTOJIMMYKIMMEL.
Kimmel addressed the problem by trolling Kanye and telling the world that this isn't a prank. Everyone is a little skeptical of the late night host since he revealed that he was the evil genius behind the viral "Twerk Fail" video.
Either way, I'd suggest keeping an eye on Kanye's Twitter feed until he either mellows out and stops being crazy or, at the very least, learns how to turn his caps lock off.
Kimmel responded to Kanye's rant by discussing the incident during his monologue yesterday.
Then Kanye followed up with the following tweets Friday afternoon:
"Like Kanye said - Finally someone speaks some inspirational and real words that haven't been exposed in a while and JK comes out with this"— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 27, 2013
"It's simple, mediocre dreamers think this is humorous but all Kanye is pretty much saying in the interview is to dream to be the best."— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 27, 2013
"A god". But then he's made out to be ridiculous for wanting to be at an even higher level of self confidence."— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 27, 2013
"Jimmy K. is the EVIL guy trying to keep people in a box and not want more out of themselves. He does this by making fun of real dreamers."— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 27, 2013
"THE NEW ROCKSTARS! ;) No but really please think about what i'm saying."— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) September 27, 2013
Then West's former manager Irving Azoff, who represents artists like Christina Aguilera, Journey and Van Halen, tweeted this:
Then Kanye West re-tweeted Azoff's tweet:
. @jimmykimmel your low blow comment was uncalled for and shows that you still don’t understand the big time.— Irving Azoff (@irvingazoff) September 27, 2013
