Jon Gosselin wants to be on TV again…for the children

Former TV star, current (but barely) father of eight, evictee, and perennial punching bag Jon Gosselin says he totally would go back on TV with his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin. For the kids, of course.

Former TV star, current (but barely) father of eight, evictee, and perennial punching bag Jon Gosselin says he totally would go back on TV with his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin. For the kids, of course.

Gosselin recently told Life & Style magazine that he'd "consider" appearing on TV with Kate to "work out our differences." That statement, of course, comes weeks after he was evicted from his rural Pennsylvania home, and days after Kate's camp announced that she'd be on the coming season of Celebrity Apprentice.

"I would consider appearing on Couples Therapy with Kate," Gosselin told Life & Style. "We're divorced, but why can't we co-parent? I was thinking Kate and I could do a televised sit-down with a doctor and work out our differences, because our kids are suffering."

As you may remember, Gosselin actually appeared on Couples Therapy last season with his then-girlfriend, Liz Janetta. So, as you can tell, since it didn't work before, Gosselin is due a win in the love category. Or something.

However, Kate doesn't seem to be having any of it. As Gosselin told In Touch. Via E! News:

In the Nov. 17 issue of In Touch, he adds, "She's still so angry at me."

Kate, 39, isn't on board. "She says absolutely not," Jon says. "She doesn't want her faults exposed."

In the same article, he snipes, "I'd love for her to finally admit that she's dating [her bodyguard turned business manager] Steve Neild. It's confusing for the children." Kate has denied the alleged romance.

The guy can't even catch a break on an upcoming episode of Kate Plus 8 that's set to feature Kate's recent yard sale. Though he attended the event, producers told E! News that Gosselin would not be included in the final yard sale episode.

Even then, though, all this "think of the children" business seems odd for Gosselin, considering that he's consistently placed blame for his children's suffering on the fact that they were put on TV in the first place. Earlier this year, he told In Touch that twins Cara and Mady "get rewarded with special treatment" because Kate "trained them to mirror her."

That may be true. Still, though, throwing the kids back onto the medium for which you squarely blame the negatives in their life doesn't make much sense.

But, then, when you're Jon Gosselin, nothing does anymore.
