After all that, JT just gives us this cryptic video

Justin Timberlake is reportedly set to release a new song on January 10th. (ASSOCIATED PRESS)

This is not a drill, people. I repeat: THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Today, at 9:01 a.m. PST *carries the 1* or... 12:01 p.m. on the East Coast, Justin Timberlake's voice will echo across the Internet, reverberating off blogs and message boards until evil is vanquished from this realm. So, expect the Internet to break at 12:02.

Timberlake sent a cryptic tweet indicating something BIG was coming at that time. It's now been reported that that time signifies the singer's announcement, which could indeed come with the release of a new single.

The former *NSYNC frontman hasn't put out an album since his critically acclaimed 2006 jawn, FutureSex/LoveSounds. According to yammering on the Twitters, though, JT collaborated with the First Family of hip-hop, Jay-Z and Beyoncé, on a new song.

But, it doesn't stop there. Billboard is reporting that JT has a whole new album on-deck, produced by Timbaland, that features some 20 new tracks. So, happy 2013, everyone. [h/t Complex, Hiphopwired]

UPDATE: His big announcement was a cryptic video:

After the video plays at—you guessed it—a clock appears, counting down to just after midnight in the wee hours of Monday morning on the East Coast. Well, looks like it's going to be a long Sunday night for some of us.
