Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho is going to prom

Ah, the power of social media! However Hannah Delmonte did it, she did it right, because she is now going to prom with Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho.

He made it official when he surprised Delmonte at her school in Virginia last week. The Eagle went all out, bringing her a signed custom jersey with No. 15 and "Prom" on the back. While 15 represents the year, this might be a violation because that number has been retired by the Eagles and belongs to Steve Van Buren.

Anyway, thanks to Twitter and Instagram, the Virginia high schooler made a deal with Acho in January that if she reached 10,000 retweets, he would accompany her to prom.

Acho totally underestimated the power of youth and social media because Delmonte ended up generating 17,000 retweets, completely annihilating Acho's lame request of 10,000 retweets.

Heck, if social media was as hot in 2006, I totally would have tried to get Kyle Korver or A.J. Feeley to go to prom with me.
