Some genius in charge of an unidentified church in Wisconsin was about to shell out $8,500 to have former Packers safety Leroy Butler come and speak to the congregation. That't not the worst part, though. That event was thrown aside due to the fact that Butler tweeted his support of Jason Collins.

On Monday, Collins became the first active professional athlete in a major sport to come out of the closet. In wake of the announcement, Butler tweeted, "Congrats to Jason Collins." Then, according to Butler's subsequent tweets, he received word that the church was using a "moral clause" to back out of his contract. [h/t Deadspin]
