Ben Stiller is working on a 'Dodgeball' sequel

Ben Stiller reportedly wants to get the Dodgeball band back together for a sequel. The Hollywood Reporter has the scoop on the project, which calls for Stiller's production company to have Clay Tarver write a new script.

While Fox, Vaughn and Stiller have long mulled the idea of a sequel, little action had been taken. It was even a joke on an episode of Ricky Gervais’ Extras in which Stiller guest-starred.

Now the sequel will focus on Vaughn and Stiller forced to team up to fight an even bigger threat, according to sources.

Though Tarver may be relatively unknown, he's got projects in the works at Disney and HBO and contributed to the cinematic masterpiece that is the 2001 Paul Walker thriller, Joy Ride.

Dodgeball will have been out for a full decade by the time the sequel sees the light of day. Remember when that Lance Armstrong cameo was funny? Now it'd just be sad. Fingers crossed that the bring back Jason Bateman and ESPN 8, "The Ocho." Here's to hoping that Stiller and company chiddiddy-check themselves before they wreck themselves, Cotton.
