Controversial talk show host and noted conspiracy theorist Alex Jones got a little, er, animated during his interview(?) with Piers Morgan. Jones is one of the firearm advocates behind the White House petition to have Morgan deported for attacking the second amendment. Regardless of your stance on gun control, it's worth a watch, if only to see Jones freak out and challenge Morgan to a fight before sarcastically answering a question with, "How many chimpanzees can dance on the head of a pin?" He also offers up gems like:
"1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms."
"The number one cause of death is suicide, now, because they give people suicide mass murder pills!"
"[Britain's] got hordes of people burning cities and beating old women's brains out every day."
"America was born on guns and whiskey."
"How many great white sharks eat people? But, they're still afraid to swim."
UPDATE: Alex Jones has posted his personal account of what happened behind the scenes at CNN. He says he made one of the producers cry and was told to leave even though he'd been promised a third segment. He says that undercover cops were following him and that a "big, mean Bloomberg" detective got in his face. According to Jones, the undercover cops looked like they were from Goodfellas.

Comment removed.- The death penalty is much more expensive than life without parole because the Constitution requires a long and complex judicial process for capital cases. That is the only mistruth in your posting I will address. There are others.

They are the reason for this country's decline. What about my right NOT to have a gun around me? - not to sound hyperbolic, but you are dealing with fascists who want to create a totalitarian state. plenty of studies have shown the conservative mentality loves to conform to an authority and be their byotch. citizens need to speak out and be as united as these zealots. all that needed for evil to triumph in the world is for yall to continue to sit on your rears and think it could never happen. these people are fascist bullies. the quiet majority needs to voice their disapproval for this ugly country will continue on this path.
- No, you won't be happy. Think of a nation of pacifists next to a nation of thugs. Are the thugs going to work and farm to get food? No. They have a whole country right next to them that won't fight back. They would come and take what they wanted and be safe and healthy as they do it.
If you've never done so, I suggest you find out where your local police have their firearms qualifications and go and see if they'll let you watch. As a Range Officer I have seen cops that shouldn't have passed, take the test 3 or 4 times in order to pass, and one officer that thought his shotgun was broken when in fact, he forgot that he had to pump it. Yes, these are the people your tax dollars go to serve you. But they won't protect you.
Even the Supreme Court says the police are under no obligation to protect you. And yes, a cop could sit there, watch you get mugged, and come up after the mugger left to write a report, and he won't get in trouble and you can't sue him for not protecting you from the criminal.
As for the peacenicks being happy, how are they not the reason for all the crime in our country? They don't want to harm others so they put up no resistance, become better victims, and encourage criminals to keep committing crimes because they make getting easy money safer. Us gun owners that carry a firearm make their job harder and more dangerous. I doubt you can negotiate with someone with a gun to your or your wife's head and not a notion in the world that shooting you or her would just remove a witness to identify him/her later on.
You don't have to trust us. But I'm sure if you were having a heart attack and this gun toting paramedic came to your aide, you wouldn't exactly push me away and ask for someone else that you can trust. - This interview was one of the funniest things I have ever seen, but it was all part of Piers Morgan's plan. He wanted a insane pro-gun person on so they could spend the rest of the show saying "see how crazy the our opposition is!?!?" Nazi-level propagandism.

Self destruct. Piers didn't push any buttons, Jones did that himself. The opposition is crazy, and the guy got over 100,000 signatures on a WH petition to have him deported. Piers took him to task, brought him on the show, and Jones wasted the opportunity he had to communicate with a wide audience. Instead, he immediately went full-tilt crazy. Because he is.
