Lindsay Lohan's Twitter feed was the saddest part of the Golden Globes

Lindsay Lohan is no stranger to court appearances. She was arrested Thursday after assaulting a woman in a NYC nightclub. (AP Photo)

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler absolutely murdered their open at the 70th annual Golden Globes on Sunday. They performed on stage in front of anyone who's anyone in show business.

Actors, actresses, directors, producers, showrunners, and the like came together to celebrate the work and efforts of Hollywood's finest. Lindsay Lohan wasn't there.

No, LiLo—who worked with Fey and Poehler on 2004's Mean Girls—was somewhere else, live-tweeting the events like the rest of us. A decade ago, Lohan was hanging out in a hotel room while Amy Poehler and Tina Fey gangster rapped.

Now, as Emma Stone lives the life LiLo left hidden behind door number two, Lohan is on the outside looking in (suprisingly, Liz & Dick didn't get any Golden Globe noms). She was (presumably) watching the duo from her couch, comparing her brother to Ben Affleck, congratulating Lena Dunham, and lamenting the Snow Patrol snub(?) in the best original song category. Lindsay Lohan's Twitter feed was officially the saddest part of the 2013 Golden Globes.

neddy, what's so sad isn't her posts but Lohan herself! She has showed the whole country what a bore and a jerk she is and that's why the press is always attacking her. If she would act more like an actress than an imbecile perhaps she would be getting better press.

I didn't know actress and imbecile were mutually exclusive. Maybe if she acted like a non-narcissistic jerk, people would give her the proper respect.

I meant stopped acting like one. My apologies for the lack of editing on the original.

Aren't all Twitter feeds sad? Let's admit it. Unless you are breaking a news story, who cares?

Yeah, I gotta say these tweets look "average". .. the problem is the average is pretty low, especially for entertainers. Don't see the big deal. She could have claimed she'd send newspaper reporters naked pictures...?

She may be talent-less, but her feed is hardly newsworthy. In fact it's just about the same as any bore sitting around tweeting about the Golden Globes. Who writes these stories anyway?? That is the sadder story here.

I don't see anything sad about the feed. But I guess it could be interpreted as envy.
