A Piers Morgan guest is  making waves on the Internet again, thanks to a segment on yesterday's show, during which Breitbart editor at large Ben Shapiro rips into Morgan for his actions in wake of the Newtown, Connecticut massacre. Shapiro accuses Morgan of "standing on the graves of the children of Sandy Hook" to demonize people who disagree with him politically.

Shapiro also brought a copy of the Constitution, which he offered to Morgan as a gift. They debate which political measures are necessary in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre including a theoretical ban on assault weapons and better screening for mental illness.

Earlier this week, the people took notice of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' segment on Morgan's show because Jones went off on Morgan, yelling over him about "suicide mass murder pills."

At one point, Morgan references Alex Jones and Shapiro responds with an emphatic, "Don't lump me in with Alex Jones."

During the segment, Morgan references the Constitution by calling it Shapiro's "little book."

Morgan and Shapiro also take time to discuss the left vs. right nature of the gun control issue after Morgan reads a letter penned (in part) by Ronald Reagan.

The NRA does not want you to hear about the school shooting (with a gun) yesterday in california because the shooter was taken down by (get this) reasonable talking by school administraitors.

Peirs Morgan is a hack, he was chased out of London after the Mirror or Star fired him for STEALING stories of colleges, LoL...

Now back to the issue, Morgan is dancing on the graves of these children for ratings purposes only.

Per FBI statistics, "Assault Rifles" are uses in less than .001% of all gun related crimes. Further, compared to knives, bats and other "non-gun" related weapons, guns pale in comparison.

Now you'll note that the media does a poor job highlighting times where citizens with concealed weapons PREVENTED crime such as with the Oregon Mall Shooter, Giffords in AZ or in FL where shop owners have to fend off attackers regularly.

We also forget that Adolf Hitler's and Stalin's first moves were to make guns illegal in Germany and Russia.

The 2nd Amendment is there to protect citizens from an Imperialistic state, which is where we are headed with Obama in Office.

Unless the Democrats want to start the 2nd Civil War, they need to back off and deal with the real issues here which is the break down of our youth due to violent video games, movies and lack of parenting.

I agree with you on all points except...

If you think we DON'T live in an imperialistic regime - you are kidding yourself..

    (1) WE the People have no PROPERTY RIGHTS in this country (the government and the politically connected elite can confiscate your house with the use of eminent domain)

    (2) WE the People have no control over our MONEY SUPPLY. The value of our money is controlled by a banking cartel (federal reserve) that is positioning our country to join a universal currency (the bancor) and further diminish our sovereignty

    (3) WE the People have no protection from search and seizure. The government can break into your house and steal items, all without court warrant. They can also search your physical body under the guise of "national security" - just take a trip through one of our airports..

    (4) WE the People no longer control our government. The government is controlled by foreign nationals and concerns..

@ USAFirst1 - I agree with you on all points. Worse yet, the Governement is using the liberal media to spread their "disinformation" to the weak minded and ignorant.

Same thing that happened in Germany and Italy in the 1930s and Russia before the fall of the Tsar.

The power elite or money changes collapse the economy to create social upheaval then introduce Imperialistic/Socialist programs to get control of people, brain wash them to make them dependent on the "system" then slowly take away all their rights.

Even Russian's are warning Americans NOT to give up their guns...

I'm not sure what you're a professor of but it apparently isn't history. One of the Czar's favorite activities was lining up dissenters for fake executions by firing squad and then exiling them to the gulags in Siberia. The Romanovs were about as far as you can get from enlightened despots. For the average Russian, life in the Soviet Union was not qualitatively different from life under the reign of the Czar. And Germany and Italy in the 30s were direct results of the disaster for Europe called World War I with the Depression piled on for good measure. Hitler didn't come to power in some violent overthrow. The Nazis came in second in elections in 1932 and Hitler was appointed chancellor the following year. The German people didn't really sour on Hitler until World War II started going badly for them after 1942. You can have your pathetic Red Dawn fantasy but you can't make up your own history.

Wow, where did you get your education??? Its scary... No one purported the Romanovs to be "enlightened", however they did allow guns to be owned and THAT was part of the reason the Germans had such difficulty invading during WWII some 20-30 yrs later.

    http://www.infowars.com/americans-never-give-up-your-guns/

Moreover the NAZI regime did rise in violence and it started in the Beer Hall Putsch which ultimately led to Hitler being imprisoned where he wrote Mein Kampf. But that's ok, don't let your revisionist history get in the way. Once he became Chancellor and had the power, he outlawed guns and the Jews, Catholics, Gypsy's, etc...were all then disarmed exposing them to the Gestapo and SS regime.

Hitler became Chancellor thanks in part to the bully tactics of the SA and the Brownshirts whom intimidated anyone that stood in they way of the NAZI's...AND Hilter was ironically being funded by US and English companies to stop the spread of Communism in Germany during the Great Depression.

Go back and get a real education.

It appears your real education is from Stormfont with a liitle Fox News mixed in, my dear professor of bulls*it. The Nazis advanced to the gates of Moscow in less than six months; they had very little trouble invading and over-running vast amounts of territory. You know what made it hard for the Germans in Russia? Overstretched supply lines, the Russian winter, T-34 tanks, Illyushin Shturmoviks and the Red Army are all valid answers. Peasants with bolt-action rifles, not so much.
The Beer Hall Putsch was a failure. If it had succeeded, Hitler would not have had to stand for election in 1932, so the Nazis came to power ultimately through the ballot box. And the gun law, it was passed in 1938, a full five years after Hitler became chancellor. By your logic, the armed German people should have been able to stop Hitler's rise to power in that five years before the gun law was enacted but I don't recall that happening (by the way, the law applied only to handguns; rifles, shotguns and ammunition were completely deregulated). I wasn't aware of it but evidently they're giving out Professorships in Assclownery.

No, Teddybear. The NRA wants to maintain your inherent 2nd amendment right as an American. When Morgan refers to the US Constitution as "your little book," that tells me all I need to know what he thinks of our government.

"your little book"tells me all I need to know. Ok, riddle me this. For the last 12yrs all we have heard from the wingnuts is that they love America, they are the true patriots, they and only they support the troops. BUT................................omg now "they" are comin for my guns and I need to have my guns to defend myself against the country that I love???? Honest to God, these people are beyond paranoid and the last thing any of them should possess is a firearm.

Political drama at its best. This is what America does best because they can not think their way out of a paperbag. The California event was another example of how out of control the country is and that they were able to talk the shooter out of doing more harm is just lucky. They usually come in with the mindset to kill as many as possible and then shoot themselves.

Keep letting the American people - and the world - see what reasonable Americans are up against.

@ woky - Is a "reason American" one that wishes to give up their unalienable right to defend against a tyrannical government???

If so, then I guess we should be thankful there are so many unreasonable people in America.

Never met someone so intent on $hitting on America, American rights and what separates America from the rest of the world with the neolithic incompetence of a school child. Go read Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" and grow a little.

Maybe you should just consider leaving to join France and its 85% tax rate or Mexico or; despite its very restrictive gun laws, a ridiculous murder rate leave for Mexico; or perhaps Africa, where your liable to be killed by rebels who hate you for your religion.

You really think the 2nd amendment or a .44 in the hands of a wingnut like yourself is going to stop THE UNITED STATES ARMY when they come for your money and property? Get a grip, weirdo.
