Winterfest returns on Friday, Nov. 27 and runs until Saturday, Feb. 28

Time to hang up the roller blades and dust off those ice skates – Winterfest is here.

Scheduled to return on Friday, Nov. 27, Penn’s Landing’s (101 S. Columbus Blvd.) wintry pop-up is a must-see destination for Philadelphians and visitors alike.

Here’s a rundown of what’s happening for the 2015 season:

Blue Cross RiverRink
There are other ice skating rinks in Philly, but not with a view like this. Grab your pals and get some exercise in at this spot right next to the Delaware River. This rink is also a perfect place for a date night, too. Take your lover for a pleasant glide and take a memorable photo in the rink.

The Lodge
After the skating, warm up those hands next door at The Lodge. This spacious decorative cabin includes comfy couches, free games, a holiday shop, and fireplaces from the Divine Lorraine. For those in need of eats: The Garces Group opens up shop like it did last year, but a larger menu is planned. For drinks: Expect seasonal craft brews, and spiked warm beverages.

If staying inside isn’t your style, the building offers outside seating next to fire pits, trees, and new for this year, winter warming huts.

As if the Lodge and rink aren’t fun enough: Every Friday and Saturday night, Winterfest will host live music, face painting for kids, circus art performances, and other seasonal activities.

If you feel like you won’t frequent this spot often, here are some key dates to note.
