As a member of Company Flow in the early 90's, El-P began to influence the rap scene in a major way. His use of dense vocal imagery is poignant and intricate, which has led to the immense respect he recieves as a musician. El-P's inspiration comes from a number of sources, some of which may surprise you. Whether referencing Philip K. Dick novels or Star Trek, El-P has found a way to intertwine science fiction into his tracks, something that has gone over quite well throughout his career. His Cancer 4 Cure album dropped this past May, and it has continued to pick up steam as El-P gets further along with his current tour.
El-P brings his show to the Trocadero this Saturday July 14th, and is joined by ATL rapper Killer Mike along with special guest and PA native Asher Roth.
