All summer long, both PHS Pop Up Gardens have hosted a wonderful array of events, from gardening classes to quizzo nights. Both sites celebrate the upcoming fall season with a multi-day festival running from Thursday, Sept. 17, through Sunday, Sept. 20.

With double the locations comes double the fun for this year's PHS Harvest Fest. Read on to see what each beer garden has to offer.

Philly's first-ever simulcast quizzo takes place at both PHS Pop Up Gardens (15th and South Streets and 9th and Wharton Streets) at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17. Hosted by Johnny Goodtimes, the event will have teams playing five rounds including two video rounds utilizing the 80-inch screens installed in both spaces.

Over at the South Street Pop Up (15th and South Streets), the Harvest Fest gets underway when the garden is outfitted with special Park(ing) Day features beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 18. The national event serves to spotlight urban areas transformed into temporary parks. At 4:30 p.m., PHS gardening experts will stop by to take questions from puzzled horticulturalists during a Harvest Fest Happy Hour.

A good old-fashioned all-ages park party goes down on Saturday, Sept. 19. PHS experts will be back in the garden for tips from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., live music will run from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and yard games like bocce, cornhole and lawn darts will be set up from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Kids can enjoy an afternoon of crafts and games from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sep. 20, while live music kicks in at 3 p.m. — just in time for an afternoon beer, like the exclusive PHS Cider.

While all the South Street fun is going on, a simultaneous party also occurs at the East Passyunk Pop Up (9th and Wharton Streets). Friday, Sept. 18's events include PHS gardening experts' appearance starting at 4:30 p.m., Harvest Happy Hour and live music.

There's nothing like a little horticultural competition. Two contests — Garden Bounty Competition and Garden Giants Competition — will accept entries from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Sep. 19. Bring your best flowers, vegetables, fruit or massive garden veggies for judging. It's not all green competition, though. Kids can paint pumpkins from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and WXPN's Kids Corner presents an age-appropriate concert at 2 p.m.

Things wrap up on Sunday, Sept. 20 with Sinatra Sunday. Sinatra's tunes will soundtrack the day while the young'uns get their hands dirty with activities from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
