You can’t help but love a band that gives back to the community. That is exactly what local ambient act, Power Animal, plans on doing with the re-release of their last album People Songs. Along with additional bonus remixes, Power Animal has joined the label Human Kindness Overflowing. Under HKO, 50% of the album’s profits will benefit the Japanese Red Cross and the other half will go to charitable projects with the record label.

Power Animal has been keeping busy with being in the studio to create their next Exorcism Ep, which will also feature remixes from Teen Daze, Golden Ages, Botany, Melting Season, and many more! Power Animals hopes that their work with HKO will bring work to musicians, artists, and labels to raise money for various causes in the Philly area. This just warms my heart, if I could give Power Animal a gold star and an A+ I would.

In the mean time, start off your morning by watching their new music video for “Dear My Body” directed by Jordan Smith. Looking forward for what’s to come for the rest of the year!
