Vendors galore at the 35th Annual Chester County Restaurant Festival

Hey Philly, you’re not the only one who’s throwing food festivals this weekend.

Hey Philly, you're not the only one who's throwing food festivals this weekend.

On Sunday, Sept. 21, the annual Chester County Restaurant Festival will take over Gay and Market Streets in West Chester as local restaurants and live entertainment from the area will line up around the neighborhood from noon through 5:30 p.m. In its 35th year, the festival has a few new additions.

The Dish People's Choice Awards returns this year. Guests can vote for their favorite tastes from all of the participating restaurants (Southbound BBQ, Maui Wowi, Teca, and tons more.) At the end of the festival, stick around to see if your selected favorite made it to the top during the awards ceremony.

Located on the historic Chester County Courthouse steps (2 High St.) this year will be a live broadcast of "In the Kitchen with David" on QVC. Visitors can watch a live taping of cooking demos. If you can't make it to this year's event, here is chance for you to join in on the fun.

Get a taste of Chester County, and take it home, too. A local Pop-Up Farmer's Market will be located on Walnut Street providing fresh & local produce plus homemade arts & crafts. Purchase seasonal fruits and veggies so you can create that special dish you love.

Aside from the three aforementioned happenings, 65 food vendors and over 100 craft vendors will be spread throughout the streets providing people with quality goods and great finds.
