Two Roads Brewing makes stop in Philadelphia

From Tuesday, April 7 through Friday, April 10, Connecticut's Two Roads Brewing travels down to Philadelphia and brings its brews to numerous bars throughout the city. Not only will guests get exclusive tastings, but they’ll get to meet the masterminds behind the company, too.

From Tuesday, April 7 through Saturday, April 11, Connecticut's Two Roads Brewing travels down to Philadelphia and brings its brews to numerous bars throughout the city. Not only will guests get exclusive tastings, but they'll get to meet the masterminds behind the company, too.

To kick off the brew-filled week, Varga Bar (941 Spruce St.) will host Late Night Munchies on Tuesday, April 7. When things start at 8 p.m., guests will be able to select Two Roads' beers paired with house-made snacks. A special cask beer will be offered for those who love "real ale."

Head brewer and author of Farmhouse Ales: Culture and Craftsmanship in the Belgian Tradition, Phil Markowski will drop knowledge at City Tap House Logan Square (2 Logan Square) during a meet and greet on Wednesday, April 8. The first 30 guests to purchase a Two Roads brew will receive a complimentary copy of Markowski's book. Brews taking over the bar include: Unorthodox Russian Imperial Stout, Worker's Comp Saison, Road 2 Ruin Double IPA, and more. The event runs from 4 to 7 p.m.

Video games and Two Roads cross paths on Wednesday, April 8, as Barcade (1114 Frankford Ave.) hosts The Jump Off. Starting at 7 p.m., guests can enjoy select Two Roads beers and arcade classics. Head brewer, Phil Markowski will be on site for chatting and cheers-ing.

Beginning at noon on Thursday, April 9, Monk's Café (264 S. 16th St.) opens its doors to Two Roads for Leftorium of Beers Lunch. The afternoon will feature a brewers brunch menu paired with selected beers. Call 215-545-7005 for reservations.

South Philly gets a taste of Two Roads as the P.O.P.E. (1501 E. Passyunk Ave.) hosts a tap takeover on Thursday, April 9. The rules of the evening are simple. Show up and order one of these tasty brews: Worker's Comp Saison, Road 2 Ruin Double IPA, Lil' Heaven Session IPA, Ol' Factory Pils, and Honeyspot Road White IPA. The event starts at 6 p.m.

Bru Craft & Wurst (1316 Chestnut St.) hosts Belgium's Revenge at 7 p.m. with Two Roads on Friday, April 10. During the hoppy happy hour, guests can sample six of the company's signature ales. Beers on deck for the evening include: Road 2 Ruin Double IPA, Lil' Heaven Session IPA, Honeyspot Road White IPA, Unorthodox Russian Imperial Stout, and Igor's Dream Russian Imperial Stout.

Two Roads brewing invites you to join them in celebrating Time Bar's (1315 Sansom St.) seven-year anniversary on Friday, April 10. From 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. sample five styles of the brewing company's selections. Offers include: Ol' Factory Pils, Worker's Comp Saison, Road 2 Ruin Double IPA, Unorthodox Russian Imperial Stout, and Lil' Heaven Session IPA.
