Tonight: Obey City is set to stun at Medusa

Having worked with esteemed artists Baauer and ScHoolboy Q, Obey City isn't far from becoming a celebrated figure in the EDM world.

With Baauer's "Harlem Shake" hitting the #1 spot on Billboard this week, underground EDM is getting the attention it finally deserves. Before hitting monster success–almost accidentally–nearly a year after the track's release, Baauer was signed on to produce his first EP with LuckyMe Records. The UK indie label represents a number of first class hip-hop infused electronic artists including Hudson Mohawke, Machinedrum and Rustie. The list also includes one Brooklyn music man who has been rocking the internet waves for just a short time: Obey City.

This BK producer and record label founder's sound is a refreshing blend of dreamy hip-hop and house. He's already collaborated with Baauer and ScHoolboyQ; most recently concocting a mix for esteemed BBC Radio 1Xtra. If you take a listen, you'll find that he's a stellar musical craftsman; not far from becoming a celebrated figure in the EDM world.

Obey City is making his Philadelphia debut this very evening at Medusa Lounge for Pagan Disco alongside resident's Bombe and Battle Axe Baby. Drink plenty of Citywides and prepare to be entranced by his magical sounds.
