Following Pope Francis' visit to Philadelphia in September, the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet will make an appearance in the City of Brotherly love for a few events.

Coinciding with His Holiness' receiving of the 2015 Liberty Medal on Monday, Oct. 26, at the National Constitution Center (525 Arch St.), the Dalai Lama will also speak at two public events on Monday, Oct. 26, and Tuesday, Oct. 27.

The first, a teaching of the Eight Verses for Training the Mind, will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, at La Salle University's Hayman Center (1900 W. Olney Ave.) and outline Buddhist teachings on loving and kindness.

The following day, Tuesday, Oct. 27, a forum on finding happiness in the world will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Liacouras Center (1776 N. Broad St.).

Although not attended by the Dalai Lama, a celebratory evening of Tibetan music and dance, featuring performances from members of Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts will be held at the Church of the Holy Trinity (1904 Walnut St.) on Monday, Oct. 26, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
