The Oval hosting a zombiefest with ‘Shaun of the Dead’ screening and ‘Thriller’ dance-off

On Wednesday, July 24, The Oval on the Parkway is transforming into a Halloween bash for just one night!

As film nerds await the release of Edgar Wright’s sci-fi comedy The World’s End, The Oval is hosting a ghoulish evening fit for zombie freaks with a screening of Wright’s classic film Shaun of the Dead, as well as a Michael Jackson-inspired “Thriller” dance-off competition before the movie.

The indie-cult "romantic comedy with zombies" begins at 8:30 p.m., right after guests stretch their zombie arms out and hit the floor for the "Thriller" dance-off.

It may not be October 31 just yet, but you can still dress up in your best zombie costume and enjoy this fun, not-so-frightening night.

Wednesday, July 24, 6:30-11 p.m.
The Oval, 2601 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy.
Free admission
Must be 17+ or accompanied by parent to watch film
