The Kitchen Counter at Zahav will transport your tastebuds

Chef Michael Solomonov has us hooked with his inspired traditional yet modern meals at Zahav and is now introducing a new experience for his patrons. On Saturday, September 1st, The Kitchen Counter at Zahav, a four-seat marble counter overlooking the kitchen where guests can watch the chefs prepare a 10-course menu every Friday and Saturday night, is set to debut. The Kitchen Counter is truly a one-of-a-kind experience as only one seating per evening at 7:30 pm will be hosted and Chef Solomonov’s dish selections will change each weekend. For $90 per person, guests can enjoy his innovative plates and an optional $50 beverage pairing highlighting their cocktails and rare Israeli wines is also available.

If you haven’t yet had the Zahav experience, Chef Solomonov offers two other prix fixe options including the $39 per person Tay’im “Taste of Zahav” and the $48 per person Mesibah which features Zahav’s signature whole-roasted lamb shoulder.

Looking for something more relaxed? Chef Solomonov is also a partner in Percy Street Barbecue, a Texas-style barbecue restaurant and bar, and Federal Donuts, a donuts, coffee, and fried chicken take out shop. Stay tuned for Chef Solomonov’s next creation Citron and Rose, a glatt kosher European-Jewish restaurant and catering company.

“Guests who are interested in reserving a seat at The Kitchen Counter should email counter@zahavrestaurant.com at noon on the first of the month for the following month (i.e. guests hoping for weekends in September should email 8/1). Requests must include the preferred date to dine and number of guests (two or four). The restaurant will contact all interested parties on a first-come, first-served basis to book all the month’s seats. Anyone submitting a request will receive a response within 48 hours.“
