The Killers kick of their US tour with some new material from 'Battle Born'

The Killers launched their summer tour last night in Asheville, NC and unleashed some new material off of their forthcoming album 'Battle Born'. Hopefully they do the same at their performance tomorrow during the Firefly Music Festival.

The Killers haven't released an album in over 4 years, but on September 18th, that is all going to change.  The new album is titled Battle Born and The Killers have been kind enough to preview a few of them through a number of different outlets.  On their official website you can listen to "Runaways" in its entirety, which is extremely refreshing considering we have to wait another few months for the official album release.  In the teaser for the album, The Killers included "Flesh and Bones", a track that complimented the imagery of the video quite well, which you can check out below.  However, the latest previews of their new tracks from Battle Born have come from the start of their tour, which kicked off yesterday in Asheville, NC.  The songs "Miss Atomic Bomb", "Flesh and Bones", and "Rising Tide" were all included in their set and even caught on video (albeit very poor quality).

The Killers bring their show to the Firefly Music Festival as part of a lineup that already includes The Black Keys, Jack White, Deathcab For Cutie, Bassnectar, Modest Mouse, The Flaming Lips, and many more.  If you're lucky enough to be attending this weekend, we highly suggest you catch their set before the ship off to Europe for the rest of their tour.
