You guys… it's happening.

That lovable, slimy South Philly institution, The Dolphin Tavern–known best as a seedy dive with a local vibe and dancing naked ladies–is reopening its doors thanks our wonderful friends Dave P (Making Time), Psydde Delicious (Delicious Boutique), Sean Agnew (R5 Productions), Avram Hornik and Mark Fichera (Four Corners Management). You may recognize a few of these names for opening such epic venues as Morgan's Pier and Union Transfer. Judging by the outstanding job they've done with those, we have high expectations for their latest project.

We're unsure of what to expect, but they assure that "Some things have changed but most are just how you left them." You will just have to see it for yourself when it officially opens on Wednesday, March 20th at 5:30 PM.

One of my coworkers works doing this on weekends. She said that the tips are amazing as long as security is on top of things.

Wives can find husbands there and then call lawyer on cell phone to serve him divorce papers with full custody of kids by wife.

Don't get your hopes up people, it's not going to be the same Dolphin we know and love. Look who's running the place. You'll still have to go to Centerfold's or the Republican for your fill of trashy South Philly strippers.

Are they still going to use the same "females" from the area...stretch marks, c-section scars, bullet wounds, etc?...Priceless....

I think my old rock band played there in the late 70s if it's the same dive I'm thinking of.

This will not be the same type of place as the old one I don't think...different crowd, different type girls, higher prices but still a cool spot in its own way....it will cater more to the younger hipster crowd but who knows....I am sure once the old timers try to roll in they will see and feel the difference....

Do they serve Dolphin there; I hear it tastes like tuna?

Or do they simply show off naked Dolphins in the tanks?

    I can't wait!
