Hit the gayborhood for these shamROCKIN' St. Patty's Day parties!

This is that wonderful time of year to indulge in delicious Irish Potatoes (you'll be sick after three), order multiple Shamrock Shakes (yes!), and have a legitimate excuse to pass out drunk in an alley circa 3:00 pm on a Sunday. St. Patrick's Day has always been a day of drinking, and the gayborhood is getting into the action too. Check out these lucky charms if you're looking to spend that pot o' gold in the right place.

Hit the gayborhood for these shamROCKIN' St. Patty’s Day parties!

St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, which means drinking starts on Friday and that means ambulances will be pretty much parked on every corner of the city throughout the weekend. Everyone will be breaking out the green shirts, pants, socks, and hair color in an effort to celebrate the Irish inside of all of us. Kiss Me I’m Irish and Gay @ Ubar

One of the biggest gay events of the weekend is definitely the Kiss me I’m Irish party at Ubar. Put on your favorite green underwear and don’t be late for the soiree, which runs from 2:00-5:00pm. There will be tons of cool stuff, such as drink specials, beer discounts, free food, and raffle prizes. Tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door, and they include one free drink as well!

SaturDAY Party @ Room12

Room 12 is very aware that the Irish will not be limiting their partying to Sunday, and in that regard has proposed perhaps that Saturday is the best time to get down with day drinking. The party runs from 1:00-6:00 pm and there will be drink specials throughout that time. Start working on perfecting that Irish jig, because music will be provided via NYC-based DJs Jared Conner and Peter Napoli.

St. Patty’s Day Eve bash at Voyeur

After you take a long nap or load up on necessary carbs, don’t forget to check out the late night scene at Voyeur. It’s the perfect place to get down after that 2nd wind kicks in. Partying will go well into St. Patrick’s Day morning, all the way to 6am in fact. DJ Eddie Elias will return to spin the main floor, with local legend Carl Michaels in the Ruby Lounge.

Naughty St. Patrick’s Day Bash @ iCandy

iCandy really understands that this is a true party weekend, and the drinking simply can’t be limited to one day, oh no. Therefore, the bar will be hosting a bash Friday and Saturday night, as well as St. Patrick’s day, when the doors will open at 2pm. There will be drink specials all weekend including $4 Guinness, $7 Jameson shots, and $13 Irish Trash Cans (I have no idea, but the name sounds intriguing, if slightly scary)
