Score a goal off the ice at the 2015 Flyers Wives Carnival

The Flyers Wives Carnival returns on Sunday, March 1 at the Wells Fargo Center (3601 Broad St.) for an afternoon full of hockey pride and action. Beginning at 1:30 p.m., there’s no short supply of interaction here.

Flyers fans will have the chance to partake in a wide range of hockey-themed games, photo ops with current and alumni players, take a shot at the goal, and more.

Flyers Alumni, Bob Kelly, Brian Propp, Joe Watson, Dave Schultz, Todd Fedoruk, Robert Esche, Bernie Parent and the entire roster of the 2014/2015 Philadelphia Flyers will be in attendance.

All money raised at the carnival go to select Flyers charities.

Free afternoon events include:

Inflatable games and bounce houses
Dig for select Flyers prizes
Post-game interview press pictures
Play NHL 15 on game consoles
Hardest slap shot contest
Get your face painted Flyers-style
Spin art activities
Jeopardy! game show

Events you can participate in:

Take a shot on goal against a Flyers alumni goalie, Robert Esche
Take a photo with Flyers' public announcer, Lou Nolan, in the penalty box
Compete in ladder toss and washers games against Flyers players
Take a picture with the most recognizable trophy in the NHL, the Stanley Cup
Take your chance on a mystery bag purchase to win exclusive material such as autographs on items

Special afternoon events:

The Flyers wives are sewing a special quilt that will be raffled off during the event. Each square in the blanket includes an autograph from a Flyers player. All proceeds from the raffle will help fund the décor and room/house supplies for Zander, a 4-year old battling cancer.

For a true carnival experience, the centerpiece of the event will be the marvelous Ferris wheel. Hop on board and ride with your favorite Flyers players.

David Boreanaz is not only an actor best known for his role as Angel in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," he's  a die-hard Flyers fan. He will be the celebrity co-chair of the event and fans can get their picture taken with him. A special Flyers-colored nail polish from Chrome Girl will also be available for purchase and proceeds will go toward Flyers charities.
