Sub Pop's favorite dirty rockers Pissed Jeans are returning to their hometown of Philadelphia on Saturday, August 29th to celebrate the release of their third album, King of Jeans. Bearing such influential alternative acts as Nirvana, Mudhoney, Soundgarden, and The Postal Service, Sub Pop has decided once again to select a band that goes against current trends.

Sub Pop’s favorite dirty rockers Pissed Jeans are returning to their hometown of Philadelphia on Saturday, August 29th to celebrate the release of their third album, King of Jeans. Bearing such influential alternative acts as Nirvana, Mudhoney, Soundgarden, and The Postal Service, Sub Pop has decided once again to select a band that goes against current trends.
Pissed Jeans challenges the listener to not only overlook the interesting name, but embrace the wall of chaos that disguises the very rootsy rock and punk influences. Just like Iggy Pop and the Stooges before, Pissed Jeans brings the punk mentality to rock and roll riffs and features a lead singer who can never find his shirt.
The West Philly “indie” frat Pi Lam will host ‘Jeans along with Air Conditioning, Jail, and M Ax Noi Mach. Not a stranger to hosting larger shows, Pi Lam recently housed Dead Milkmen earlier this year.
