Philly gets one of only six OzzFest shows

Philadelphia is one of six lucky cities that will be able to see the revamped version of OzzFest after its two-year hiatus. Starting on August 14 on the West Coast and touching down at the Susquehanna Bank Center ten days later, this version of the ‘Fest is a little different than the one you remember.

Headlined by the Prince of F*@(in’ Darkness himself, on the strength of his new album Scream, the tour also features the legendary Motley Crue as a co-headliner. For those who haven’t seen the Motley Crue episode of Behind the Music a thousand times (or read their amazing book The Dirt), the last time these two toured together Ozzy snorted a line of ants in a parking lot. Metal.

Also heading out on the abbreviated OzzFest are Skeletonwitch, Drowning Pool, DevilDriver, Black Label Society and Rob Halford, among others. Tickets go on sale May 22 for the August show. Get your necks in training, the heads will be banging.
