For grown up costumes: Tour the Philadelphia Museum of Art (26th St. and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway) after hours and see design students model costumes with an artful inspiration. Stay for a themed musical performance from local R&B band Natural Selection. Halloween at the Museum runs from 5 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

For trick-or-treating: Candy gathering with a view: The Brandywine Zoo (1001 N. Park Dr., Wilmington, Del.) welcomes costumed youngsters to gallivant around the zoo from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

For a block party: The 7100 Block of Germantown Ave. in Mt. Airy will be the ultimate stop for all things monster with a Halloween dance, costume contest and mummy wrap competition from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Cow and the Curd will supply the eats.

For a cult classic: Let's do the Time Warp again. "The Rocky Horror Show," the musical that inspired the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" hits the stage at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 S. Main St., New Hope, Pa.) at 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

For a thriller: In honor of Orson Welles' radio broadcast adaptation of the H.G. Wells novel, Drexel's Co-op Theatre Company presents their own version of "War of the Worlds," transforming the URBN Center Annex Black Box Theater (3401 Filbert St.) into a radio studio. The show begins at 8 p.m. and if you come in costume, you'll be treated to free entry.
