#PhillyFive Things to Do: Oct. 21, 2014

It’s not just Tuesday, it’s one day closer to Friday.

It's not just Tuesday, it's one day closer to Friday.

For a retrospective: The Philadelphia Muesum of Art (26th St. and Benjamin Franklin Parkway) debuts a new exhibit today from American photographer Paul Strand. The retrospective shows work from Strand's six-decade career. Check it out between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

For a collaboration: Federal Donuts will debut exclusive donuts flavored from N3RD MRKT ingredients at a special pop-up market from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the N3RD St. Farmers Market (Church St. between 2nd and American Streets).

For a ceremony: Nobel Prize winner and Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai will receive the 2014 Liberty Medal at the National Constitution Center (525 Arch St.) at a 7 p.m. ceremony. The Liberty Medal is awarded yearly to those who work to achieve liberty for people worldwide.

For an out-of-this-world talk: Carly Watts designs space suits. Pretty important job, right? She discusses how NASA's space suits keep astronauts safe at 7 p.m. at the Chemical Heritage Foundation (315 Chestnut St.).

For a competition: The worst part about reality singing contests is that they're on television. Experience the action firsthand at World Café Live (3025 Walnut St.) tonight when local country/folk artists battle it out during the final round of competition. The show starts at 8 p.m.
