#PhillyFive Things to Do: Oct. 2, 2014

Try to keep yourself composed.

Try to keep yourself composed.

For lunch: Get to High Street on Market (308 Market St.) between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for a special lunch menu featuring gluten free pasta dishes from Chef Mark Ladner's pop-up dining experience, Pasta Flyer.

For a lesson: Kimono not required. Learn the art of the cultural Japanese dance at Shofuso Japanese House and Garden (Horticultural and Lansdowne Dr.) from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

For a girls' night: Grab your gal pals and hit the town — downtown Haddonfield. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. the stores on Kings Highway will be offering special promotions, like sales, food samples and crafts.

For the last time: The final evening in The Food Trust's outdoor chow series comes to 10th and Race Streets in Chinatown for the ultimate culinary evening. The Chinatown Night Market brings out the best of the neighborhood's restaurants and food trucks for your eating pleasure. Get there before it's over: Hours are 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

For dumpster divers: Unearthing and compiling clips from videos found at garage sales, thrift stores and even dumpsters is this evening's Found Footage Festival, a humorously curated sampling of head-scratching, commentary and where-are-they-now updates on the "stars" of the videos. Johnny Brenda's (1201 N. Frankford Ave.) hosts the shindig, where there are two showings: 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Sorry kids, you've gotta be at least 21 for this.
