#PhillyFive Things to Do: Oct. 10, 2014

So glad we can share these.

So glad we can share these.

For a dedication: The latest Mural Arts work, "Home Safe," will be dedicated at 4 p.m. at the corner of 42nd St. and Lancaster Ave. Across the street, get crafty by installing paper cranes and signs. When all is said and done, wander to journey2home (4119 Lancaster Ave.) for a documentary screening.

For a haunted evening: See potentially haunted and scary sites (including the Edgar Allan Poe House, St. Peter's Church Cemetery, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and more) via segway for Philadelphia Segway Tours' Ghost Tour, departing from the Independence Visitor Center (1 N. Independence Mall West) at 5:30 p.m.

For an unlikely pairing: Get your hair did tonight at The Trestle Inn (339 N. 11th St.) for an evening of updos, makeup and fondue from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

For a debut: GLAAD Media Award-winning drag star Coco Peru makes her Philadelphia debut at Voyeur (1221 St. James St.) for a performance of her favorite monologues and songs. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for 21-and-over audiences.

For something quirky: Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, known professionally in a comedic fashion as Tim & Eric, met at Temple University. The pair brings their Adult Swim show, featuring John C. Reilly as Dr. Steve Brule to real life at two showtimes — 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. — at the Keswick Theatre (291 Keswick Ave., Glenside).
