Long weekends are the best.

Long weekends are the best.

For heaven: It might seem like that way if you decide to attend the Chocolate Festival at Dover Downs Hotel and Casino (1131 N. DuPont Highway, Dover, Del.). Taste it, buy it, weep over it, feed it to the kids from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For a train ride: Morris Arboretum (100 E. Northwestern Ave.) celebrates the debut of their holiday model train from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with crafts, Christmas carolers and, of course, the appropriately themed miniature train taking a journey through a quarter mile of track.

For some luxury: Show your date how you roll at Pennsylvania 6 (114 S. 12th St.). Every Saturday for the holiday season, starting at 5 p.m., the restaurant will offer food and drink specials inspired by Frank Sinatra songs, for sharing between two lovey diners. Menu items include High Hopes, a dozen Malpeque oysters on the half shell with a bottle of Poema Cava Sparkling Brut and Strangers in the Night, two Pineland Farms ribeye steaks, served with duck fat marble potatoes, broccolini, gorgonzola dolce in red wine beef sauce, accompanied by a bottle of Louis Martini Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon.

For a parade: Sleep in today. Vineland's Holiday Parade doesn't begin until 5 p.m. with two hours of floats, lights, bands and other Christmas-y goodness. The parade begins at Landis Avenue at East Avenue and heads towards West Avenue in Vineland, N.J.

For grooves: Philly Soul Syndicate DJs host a night of soul and R&B dancing — using only vinyl — at Kung Fu Necktie (1250 N. Front St.) starting at 11 p.m. Special guests The West Kensingtons will also perform live.
