#PhillyFive Things to Do: May 21, 2015

It might be possible to attend all five of these today. Just saying.

It might be possible to attend all five of these today. Just saying.

For free lunch: To celebrate one year of serving up sushi-burrito hybrids, both Hai Street Kitchen (32 S. 18th St. and 125 S. 40th St.) locations are giving away free lunch for the first 200 people at either location. Be prompt: they open at 11 a.m.

For a screening: Regardless if your punk roots have all but dissipated or the sentiment is still alive and well in your life, a screening of documentary "Salad Days: A Decade of Punk in Washington, DC (1980-90)" should evoke some musical and youthful memories. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at the URBN Annex Black Box Theater (3401 Filbert St.). After the screening, stay for a Q&A with writer and director Scott Crawford and director of photography Jim Saah and a set from local band Mumblr.

For party food connoisseurs: It's a guacamole dream come true. Sample local restaurants' version of the avocado-based dip at this Guac-Off, starting at 6 p.m. Your ticket gets you unlimited guac from Cantina Dos Segundos, Café Ynez and Morgan's Pier (221 N. Columbus Blvd.), where the event is held, and a free Corona drink ticket.

For English alt rock: Before Morrissey stops by for Firefly Music Festival and a show at the Academy of Music, pay homage to The Smiths at the Trocadero (1003 Arch St.) for a night full of live Smiths covers and a DJ spinning related tune-age. Doors are at 8 p.m.

For an after party: After Wall Ball, Mural Arts' fundraising event at the Electric Factory (421 N. 7th St.) has wrapped, the venue will stay open for an after party, featuring more music and food, starting at 10 p.m.
