It’s a special day for fun.

It's a special day for fun.

For a tasty tour: Traverse and taste traditional delicacies during this tour of the Italian Market. Departing at 10:30 a.m. at 9th and South Streets, you'll be treated to the sights and tastes of South Philly vendors.

For a meal: Chestnut Hill Restaurant Week continues on with $15 lunch and $35 dinner specials — plus free parking after 6 p.m. — at participating restaurants, including Iron Hill Brewery (8400 Germantown Ave.), Paris Bistro (8229 Germantown Ave.) and more.

For music education: Since Drexel's acquired Sigma Sound Studio's archives, students and faculty have been working to restore and preserve the tapes. The public is invited to the URBN Annex Screening Room (3401 Filbert St.) to hear a panel, comprised of former Sigma Sound employees, Drexel students and Music Industry [professor Toby Seay, to discuss the Philly Groove Label, who recorded in Sigma Sound. The session begins at 6 p.m.

For a jam session: Held the first Tuesday of the month, local musicians, instrumentalists, poets and performers can take the stage at Bourbon and Branch (705 N. 2nd St.) for Phirst Tuesday open mic. Sign ups begin at 7 p.m.

For a naughty time: The "50 Shades" fever isn't going anywhere. "SPANK! The Fifty Shades Parody" comes to the Merriam Theater (250 S. Broad St.) for a hilarious musical interpretation of the steamy book and movie. Curtains are at 7:30 p.m.
