From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., see the new William Glackens exhibit, see a performance by the Kimmel Center Creative Music Program for Jazz, hear talks from local artists and more. Free tickets are available at the museum starting at 9 a.m.
For brunch: Bid on works from members at Da Vinci Art Alliance (704 Catherine St.) from noon to 4 p.m. today. The fundraiser also features a raffle and brunch with no shortage of bubbly.
For a blast from the past: Downtown Narberth (Forrest and Haverford Avenues) might as well be 1840's London when all the characters from Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" come to life for a day's worth of programming including a scavenger hunt, caroling, food, vendors and puppet shows. The Narberth Dickens Festival runs from noon until 4 p.m.
For a delicacy: Get into the Hanukkah season and gorge on spread of lakes from the city's top chefs at the Gershman Y (401 S. Broad St.) at Latkepalooza from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
For seasonal sounds: A longstanding tradition, Handel's "Messiah" will be presented by Ursinus College (601 E. Main St., Collegeville, Pa.) students at 2:30 p.m. in the college's Bomberger Auditorium.
