#PhillyFive Things to Do: April 17, 2015

It’s nice when we can all get together and enjoy Fridays.

It's nice when we can all get together and enjoy Fridays.

For a good reason to shop: Athleta (1722 Walnut St.) is hosting an event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with 10% of purchase proceeds going to the American Skin Foundation. Throughout the night, there'll also be a spray tan demo from local airbrush tanners Skin Palette at 7:15 p.m. and a piloxing (a combo of pilates and boxing) class at 8 p.m.

For a discussion: Pennsylvania-born M. Night Shyamalan and his wife Dr. Bhavna Shyamalan will appear at the Penn Museum (3260 South St.) to speak about the M. Night Shyamalan Foundation, an organization that aims to invest in future world changers and leaders, at 6 p.m.

For dinner: Each of the five courses served at Buddakan AC (The Pier Shops Caesars, 1 Atlantic Ocean, Atlantic City) — dishes include salmon tartare, crab dumplings, spiced pork mignon and more — will be paired with five different sakes. Dinner is served at 8 p.m.

For a tournament: Bring your best Flip Cup skills to the Field House (1150 Filbert St.) at 8 p.m. for the 2nd Annual Charity Flip Cup Tournament supporting the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the MS Society and Mazeppa Productions. Admission gets you beer and snacks. Competitive drive is all your own.

For beats: Dance the night away at Soundgarden Hall (520 N. Columbus Blvd.) when headliner, Dutch producer Ummet Ozcan, puts his spin on top dance tracks. Doors open at 8:30 p.m.
