Philadelphia Orchestra to perform Fourth of July concert on the waterfront

Philadelphia Orchestra to perform on the waterfront for Fourth of July celebration

Begin this year's Fourth of July celebration with a classical performance from the famed Philadelphia Orchestra on the Delaware River waterfront.

Independence Day might be on July 4, but the city's festivities will kick off early with the classical concert on July 2 at Penn's Landing.

The concert features Associate Conductor Cristian Macelaru and violinist Kristin Lee in various compositions throughout the night, including a performance of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.

The evening wraps up with a beautiful fireworks display above the waterfront as a lovely preface to the week's Fourth of July fun.
