Art show: Don't miss Thomas Buildmore at North Bowl September 7th

Each month this fall, North Bowl will be hosting a series of First Friday exhibitions from a number of artists. Thomas Buildmore is the guest of honor for September and if that isn't enough incentive to go, there will also be a complimentary snack bar and drink specials.

North Bowl is an unexpectedly perfect location for a First Friday art show and we are so excited for this upcoming fall series. Their first opening, featuring artist Thomas Buildmore, will be on Friday, September 7 and starts at 8:00pm. A complimentary snack bar with goodies like hummus and pita, tots, and chips and salsa will be available plus a $3 house wine and Kenzinger draft special.

Thomas Buildmore attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and studied video, installation, painting, and film. He received his diploma in 2004 and his work as both an artist and a curator have received acclaim from publications such as The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, The New York Daily News, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

He founded the Overkill Studio in South Boston in 2007 and relocated to Philly in 2008 to pursue life as an artist, curator, and gallery director. By 2010, Buildmore had partnered with photographer Dan King to establish StupIDEAsy, a multi-functional studio located in Olde City. Here, he and his colleagues tackle creative projects and feature other artists' works as well.
