Bringing banked track roller derby back to area fans after a 20-year hiatus, Love City Roller Derby, will be hosting two rival men's teams, Shove City and the Penn Jersey Hooligans, Friday, Feb. 22, at the new Derby Ink Gardens arena located at 814 Spring Garden St.

Only the strong will survive this match up, as some of the fiercest male skaters on the East Coast clash on the historic Green Machine track, previously housed at Madison Square Gardens.
Featuring fierce local men and women, LCRD hosts the popular 15-game Fight for Philadelphia Series, and the upcoming $20,000 jackpot Derby Ink Invitational taking place this April in Harrisburg, PA.

In addition to the 90-minute men's game, there will be a rookie female half-time game, with doors opening at 7 PM, and the first bout starting at 8 PM.
Gates for onsite parking and tailgaters open at 5:30 PM, and cost $5 per car.

Tickets are $14 in advance, $16 at the door.  Be sure to get advance tickets here , as the event is expected to sell out.

As part of their Love City Roller Derby Cares initiative, LCRD, will be hosting a non-perishable food drive to support Philabundance at the event. Bring your canned goods and show your support.

In addition to their regular season schedule, Love City hosts bi-monthly "College Nights" on Wednesdays starting Feb. 13. For $5 admission with college identification, students can get their adrenaline pumping with some hard-hitting roller derby action, including a one-hour on skates lesson, and scrimmage preview.
