Kaskade brings the Freaks of Nature tour to Festival Pier this Thursday, June 28th

American DJ phenom Kaskade has put his stamp on not only electronic music in the US, but rather worldwide.  Last year The New York Times decided to examine exactly how Kaskade rose to super stardom, how this Evanston, IL native exploded onto the scene and has made such an enormous impact.  Praised by DJ's and pop sensations alike, Kaskade is arguably the biggest name in the dance music scene today.

When he embarked on his Freaks of Nature tour in late May, anticipation for the tour mounted with each passing show.  Now a little less than a month in, Kaskade has delivered in each performance.  Kicking it off in Las Vegas and working his way through the country, Kaskade's Philadelphia stop has been touted as one of the major events in the region.  His appeal and draw for an audience is staggering, and within minutes of walking into the arena, stadium or concert venue, you can tell why he earned his place atop the DJ ranks in America.

What has set Kaskade aside from his EDM counterparts is his full length album titled Fire & Ice.  This album defined his career thus far and profiled exactly what he had in store for dance music fanatics and aficionados.  The two disc album showed two sides of his sound, ranging from light and airy to dark and eerie.  Collaborations with Skrillex, Neon Trees, Skylar Grey, Rebecca & Fiona, and many more gave the album a very unique and intricate sound and appeal.

Joining Kaskade at Festival Pier will be Alvin Risk and Fareoh, both young producers whose inclusion is justified by their individual productions as well as the diversity they bring to the tour itself.
