BalletX Winter Series

BalletX, Philadelphia's premier contemporary ballet company, opened their Winter Series on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at The Wilma Theater (265 South Broad St.). The series continues all weekend, with a Sunday evening performance just added to the calendar. Featuring four works by the dance-makers of today, the series features a powerful world premiere by young choreographer Norbert De La Cruz III. You will be glad you came.

IndiGoGo: A Queer Polar Dance Party

Last July, hundreds packed the Underground Arts (1200 Callowhill Street) for a funhouse themed IndiGoGo rager. Due to a stellar turnout and popular demand, the William Way LGBT Community Center is bringing IndiGoGo back on Saturday, Feb. 21. This time for a polar vortex edition. Some of Philly's greatest party promoters and DJs are joining forces to transport partygoers to the Arctic Circle. The set list is jam packed with some of the best queer Philly DJ's like Nolita Selector (Cutn Paste), DJ Robert Drake (Sex Dwarf), DJ Javascript (Adrenaline) DJ Katie K Rex (Factory Girls) and DJ Carl Michaels. Appearances by Cirque Mannik, HoneyTree EvilEye, Mr. Everything, and Miss Everything. Sounds like a sexy chance to cuddle up on the dance floor next to that polar bear of your dreams.
