Philadelphia's craft publishing company, The Head & the Hand Press, is inviting you to soak in an evening of history, architecture, and literature. On Thursday, renowned local author Nathaniel Popkin is hosting a free talk and reading at Christ Church Philadelphia, “an event that highlights Philadelphia's important history of early American art.”

Popkin, the writer of Lion and Leopard, is partnering with the historical church to bring you a very special presentation. Come relax in Christ Church’s pews that once sat such historical figues as Benjamin Franklin, Betsy Ross, and Charles Willson Peale, a main character in his novel.

The night will begin with an introduction by the church’s head historian, followed by a short talk and then a reading by Nathaniel Popkin. The event will close with a Q & A and a book signing.

Thursday, Jan. 16, 6 - 8 p.m.
Christ Church Philadelphia
20 N. American St.
