Bonjour! Start your week off with flavors from France as Azie on Main (789 East Lancaster Ave.) hosts its first monthly wine dinners on Monday, Oct. 27. Starting at 7 p.m., guests can taste special French-inspired menu paired with wines from the Burgundy, Languedoc and Bordeaux regions of France. The four-course menu will feature items such as duck, scallops, braised beef, and pound cake. The pairing is $65 per person.

If your dreams of becoming America's Next Top Chef are subpar, Clean Your Plate's (937 N. 6th St.) chef Christina Dimacali is hosting a Cooking 101 - Chicken Marsala class that takes guests through hands-on steps on how to prepare the dish and cook it, too. Besides chicken Marsala, you will create an apple walnut salad and oven-roasted broccoli, and bake peanut butter cookies. Tickets are $95, and the event is on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m.

"Think local, give local" is the term the Garces Foundation believes in, and he invites guests to share this message on Wednesday, Oct. 29 during the annual Garces Gala which is set to take place at the Kimmel Center (300 S. Broad St.) this year. This annual event gathers the community, and local area chefs together for quite the food experience showcasing selected entrees picked out by each chef. Chefs for the evening include LaCroix's Jon Chichon, Garces Group's Jose Garces, Osteria's Jeff Michaud, and more. The event is $200 and starts at 6:30 p.m.

Oktoberfests have been rolling through neighborhoods nationwide and now its Victory's turn to get in on the action. On Saturday, Nov. 1, Victory's Parkesburg location (3127 Lower Valley Rd.) is offering brewery tours, live entertainment, food by the brewpub, and delicious ales perfect for the autumn season. Beer recommendation: Festbeir, sip on the crispy ale before it's all gone. The event starts at 11 a.m. and is $50 per person.

The Halloween festivities are over, need another reason to celebrate? On Sunday, Nov. 2 Sancho Pistola's (19 W. Girard Ave.) celebrates the Day of the Dead with a special Founders brunch that includes great handpicked selections and their food. Guests can chow down on their brunch menu and enjoy beers such as Bolt Cutter, Kentucky Breakfast Stout, Dissenter, Sweet Repute, and a 2011 Blushing Monk. Get there quick if you're a fan of those beers. The brunch starts at 11 a.m.
