For a dance lesson: Throw conventional dance wisdom aside, it's time for a cultural classic. Learn a traditional Japanese dance while dressed in a kimono from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Shofuso Japanese House and Garden in West Fairmount Park.

For a rhythmic clinic: Drum pros Jim Hines and Tom Cottone will perform and teach tricks of the trade at the Hard Rock Café in Center City at 3 p.m.

For live music: 90s alt-rockers 311 take the stage at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, PA tonight. The show starts at 8 p.m.
