Five things to do today – family day, diaper derby, vegetarian festival

There’s something very comforting about knowing what’s going on.

For family fun: The Delaware Museum of Natural History’s Family Fun Day features bird shows, nature walks, puppet shows and food during the Greenville, DE museum’s hours, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For a competition: On your marks, get set, crawl! Babies will race in various heats at today’s Diaper Derby at the Bloomingdales Court at the King of Prussia Mall in King of Prussia, PA. The event, hosted by mom blogger Joey Fortman, will run from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

For a sea celebration: Shore town, Cape May, NJ sends its love to the sea at this year’s Harbor Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Nature Center of Cape May is the home of the one-day festival, where visitors can enjoy seafood and a kayak and canoe regatta.

For a veggie party: The Humane League is sponsoring the first Philadelphia VegFest from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Headhouse Square on Second and Pine Streets welcomes exhibitors demonstrating vegetarian cooking, health information and food sampling.

For a role reversal: The popular play The Odd Couple, gets an update. Instead of the male lead characters, the roles are now female. Catch the show at the New Candlelight Theatre in Wilmington, DE at 6:30 p.m.
