Let’s hit the town.

For an orchard affair: Young children can pick apples and hear an apple-themed story at Weavers Way Orchard in Morgantown, Pa. at 9:45 a.m.

For a finale: Farewell, summer. Today is the chance you have to take advantage of Center City Sips, a seasonal happy hour taking place at numerous Center City bars and restaurants from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

For an expert’s opinion: Garden woes, be gone. Attend a short lecture on plant and garden life and then ask master gardeners your burning questions at the Delaware Center for Horticulture at 5:30 p.m.

For a classic film: Get a film school-style lecture prior to a screening of “Casablanca” at the Bryn Mawr Film Institute at 6:30 p.m. After the film, engage in some intellectual conversation like the true film enthusiast you are.

For something from the Great White Way: Local talent perform Broadway hits from Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jonathan Larson and more at World Café Live in University City at 8 p.m. Doors open an hour prior.
