For a mobile activity: The Elmwood Park Zoo takes to the streets and brings their mobile zoo to Chester Springs, Pa.'s Henrietta Hankin Library for a one-hour activity on physical adaptations in animals, like webbed feet and camouflage. It all begins at 2 p.m.
For a BYO art night: Every second Thursday at the Queen Village Art Center is a drop-in BYO figure drawing class for artists of all levels. All supplies are included in the 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. class.
For a collaboration: Farm-fresh ingredients from Blue Moon Acres (like mint, butter ball potatoes, arugula, heirloom tomatoes and more) will be used in a five-course artisanal produce dinner at Pennsylvania 6. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served at 6:30 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7 p.m. in Midtown Village.
For a midsummer's soiree: The Jewish holiday of love is celebrated at the National Museum of American Jewish History with an all-white attire midsummer bash. Young professionals ages 21 to 40 should wear their best whites and get to the Independence Mall-located museum by 7 p.m. for beer, wine, cocktails, dessert and music.
For a jazz night: It's an evening of jazz, crafts and the city at Franklin Square during their Hot Night, Cool Jazz event, starting at 6 p.m.
